Review & Description
"High Pressure Diaphragm Pump 3/8"" Threaded Female Ports - 4 Additional fittings provided: 2 x 3/8"" NPT x Straight hose barb fittings, 2 x 3/8"" NPT x 1/4"" NPT Nipples For use with clean fluids only. Fluids should be free of particles larger than 50 micron to prevent damage to the diaphragm. Pumps on Demand when below 160 psi Continuous Duty Cycle Temperature Protection sensor shuts off pump at 80°C (176°F) Pump turns off automatically when 160 psi has been achieved. Creates high suction for pumping fluids through a dry hose, no priming required Max vacuum pressure ~17mm Hg Biodiesel Applications: Methanol Recovery: Methanol evaporates at 64.7°C. When it is mixed in with biodiesel, it takes even higher temperatures to evaporate all of the methanol out. The use of this diaphragm pump will help pull some vacuum on the vessel holding the biodiesel, which will lower the boiling point of methanol, and then take more out with less heat required. When the methanol enters the pump, it will push out the outlet and into the desired container for storage. All that's needed is for the container to be closed with a check valve on top to allow air that is sucked out of the tank to be pushed out of the methanol tank.
